Marcile Evelyn Beeg, 75, of Shepherd, Michigan passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Mid-Michigan Health Park in Mt. Pleasant.  Marcile was born on March 3, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of John Allen and Florence Margaret (Walker) Smillie.  On June 3, 1962, she married Samuel Paul Beeg in Rosebush.  Marcile was a resident of the area all of her life. 

     Marcile enjoyed flowers, gardening, preserving food, adult coloring books, reading, her grandchildren, and always thought of others before herself.  She was employed as a surgery tech and various other jobs at Central Michigan Community Hospital and also worked as a nurse’s aide at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

     Survivors include her husband, Samuel P., Sr., her sons Samuel, Jr. and his wife Terry of Mt. Pleasant and Earnest of Shepherd.  Also surviving are her grandchildren:  Maya and Gracelynn Beeg, Tristian, Mikayla and Theresa Foster.  A brother Richard and his wife Carol Smillie of Mt. Pleasant and a sister Roberta Brisbay of Blanchard.  She was preceded in death by both parents, a sister Mary Ewell and nephews Scott Smillie and John Ewell.

     Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11 am from the Rowley Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Wayne Shidler officiating.  Interment will take place in Memorial Gardens.  Friends and family will gather on Wednesday from 9 am until time of the service.  Memorial contributions have been suggested to the wishes of the family.
